Manny Alcala’s immersion in new media began with old media in college, where he studied visual arts and earned a degree in journalism from the University of North Texas. Upon graduation he immersed himself in mass communications, working in several aspects of the field, including broadcast news, political campaigns and marketing for a leading Japanese entertainment distributer.

With his experience, Manny is helping lead Quin Mathews Films into new possibilities for film and video, including helping people articulate their stories to widening audiences through new outlets.

Manny also considers himself a film and culture junkie.
